Morningside fell behind 18-1 and lost to Indiana Wesleyan, 65-64, in the NAIA semifinals.

Top-ranked Morningside fell behind 18-1 to start the game and came up one point short, losing
65-64 to #4 Indiana Wesleyan in the semifinals of the NAIA Division II Women's Basketball
Championship.
The Mustangs missed their first six shots and were just 10-for-28 on field goal tries in the
first half but battle back to only trail 39-30 at halftime.
Bobby McManaman led the Mustangs with 19 points off the bench, making four of seven
three-point shots. McManaman hit a three at the end of regulation to cut the final margin to
one point. Ashlynn Muhl was also in double figures with 11 points, while leading the Mustangs
with 13 rebounds.
Indiana Wesleyan (34-3) went 15-for-25 in the first half and made four of eight from beyond
the arc. The Wildcats only shot 28% in the second half but never trailed in the game.
