SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KTIV) -

Tuesday evening, the high winds will begin to die down around 6 p.m.

These winds are causing roads in Iowa to be covered or partially covered with snow.

Some areas near Estherville are totally covered in snow.

Nebraska roads aren't doing much better than Iowa's roads.

Extreme caution urged in some areas.

In South Dakota, officials are saying I-29 north of Sioux City has slippery spots being reported.

Accumulations will be generally .5" or less mainly in the north and eastern areas.

Winds gusting to near 35 mph will reduce visibilities and cause blowing snow so drive with caution.

A warming trend will develop later in the week with more precipitation chances by the weekend.
