SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KTIV) -
Eight months after Father Patrick Walsh retired as president of the Bishop Heelan Catholic Schools, the school system has a new, permanent president.
He's James Tschann. The Minnesota-native has spent the last eight years as president of Cathedral Catholic High School in San Diego.
There, he lead the school, which has 1,700 students, and helped manage final construction of a new school and the move to the new building.
That's a challenge he'll face when he starts on July 1st. Bishop Heelan has started on the $15-million first phase of construction of its new high school building. Phase one, which is known as the "arts wing" will include 600-seat auditorium, art, vocal, and band classrooms, a chapel, and more.
It's set to be complete in 2014.
