SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KTIV) -
The seven justices have fanned out across northwest Iowa and are visiting several high schools.
That includes this stop at Sioux City North High School Wednesday morning.
Chief Justice Mark Cady says its important to make visits like these so the students get a chance to see how the court system works first hand.
"It's really important for everyone to know how our government operates. Especially, when we operate with a government with shared powers. The more we understand, and the more we appreciate government, the better off we'll be," Iowa Supreme Court Chief Justice Mark Cady said.
The Supreme Court justices are also visiting West High School Wednesday and schools in Mapleton, Ida Grove and Sloan.
