This year's St. Patrick's Day parade in Sioux City will have more than 50 entries.
SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KTIV) -
St. Patrick's Day is set aside each year to celebrate all things Irish. And what grand celebration would be complete without a parade?
Sioux City will host a parade through the downtown area on Sunday. Organizers say it's grown tremendously from an informal group that just went out on their own to a group of more than 50 now.
"It's gone from five floats to almost over 50 this year, including families and lots of kids," said Mac Dolan, co-chair for the parade.
The parade will start at 12:15 p.m. at the corner of Iowa and 3rd Streets. This year the route is slightly longer, about three blocks more, than it was last year.
