Fred Hoiberg wants "forty minutes of proper execution" against Oklahoma.
AMES, Iowa (KTIV) - -
The Iowa State men haven't won a game at the Big 12 basketball tournament since 2005. The Cyclones can change that against Oklahoma on Thursday morning.
Both teams were 11-7 in the conference and they each won on the other's home court in the regular season.
Iowa State is 21-10 overall after winning at West Virginia on Saturday. ISU had a 24-point lead against the Mountaineers, and only won by nine. Coach Fred Hoiberg says the Cyclones can't let up on the gas.
"The first half against West Virginia, that thing was flying around," said Iowa State Head Coach Fred Hoiberg. "That first 25 minutes was just beautiful offense. Then we got stagnant and you can see what happens when we don't move the ball. You've got to have 40 minutes of proper execution."
Iowa State and Oklahoma play at 11:30 Thursday morning on ESPN 2
