Scott Jensen and Eddie Pertilla hooked up five times through the air as the Sioux City Bandits opened their inaugural season in the Champions Professional Indoor Football League with a 62-56 victory over Bloomington.

The victory pushes the Bandits winning streak to 29 games.

Jensen and Pertilla found the end zone with scores of 43, 22, 34, 5 and 41 yards.

Sioux City trailed 7-0 early, but scored three straight times and took a 32-21 lead into halftime.

Leading by 12 heading into the fourth quarter, Bloomington pulled to within 47-42 with less than 10 minutes to play on a 14 yard touchdown pass from David Knighton to Lee Banks.

The Bandits answered with Pertilla's fourth TD grab of the game and converted the two point try to open up a 55-42 lead.

However, the Edge continued to keep it close, scoring twice in the final five minutes, before the Bandits finally ran out the clock.

Sioux City will play the Kansas City Renegade in the home opener on Friday, March 22, at 7:05 p.m.
