Le Mars, IA (KTIV) -
A time to relax and rejuvenate was in store for ladies in Le Mars, Iowa Saturday afternoon.
That was the theme for the The Good Samaritan Society of Le Mars 7th annual "Spring Fling" brunch and style show.
A spa-like atmosphere provided ladies with a way to kick back and enjoy.
They dined on a tasty brunch, did some shopping, and listened to a motivational speaker, the Hula-Hoop woman, Theresa Rose.
She told the group how the hoop put a new spin on her life and how it helped her live to the fullest.
"I wanted to make sure this event was just gonna be the most spectacular one they've ever gone to, and to really infuse the room with joy and laughter and inspiration," said Theresa Rose, Inspirational Performer.
After the speaker, the catwalk was filled with ladies showing off this year's spring and summer fashions.
The goal of Saturday's event was fun for women while raising money for a good cause.
"Our goal is for fundraising and friend-raising both, we want to be able to partner with other area organizations in order to bring a fun day to the community, with a wonderful goal of having all the proceeds that will be able to benefit the residents of the Good Samaritan Society of Le Mars," said Karen Mousel, Administrator of Good Samaritan Society of Le Mars.
KTIV's Christy Batien was emcee for today's style show.
