MidAmerican donates money to Sioux City as a part of their Trees Please! program

Sioux City has received $20,000 from MidAmerican Energy as a part of the company's Trees Please! program.

Funds are distributed each year to communities to promote energy efficiency and improve the physical appearance through the planting of trees.

The donation was presented by MidAmerican Energy employee Brad Howard, who serves as the company's volunteer community contact in Sioux City.

"MidAmerican Energy offers the Trees Please! program to promote energy conservation, help the environment, and support community beautification projects," said Howard.

MidAmerican Energy Company is providing $225,000 to 80 cities and community organizations throughout its Iowa service territory in support of its Trees Please! program.
