Eddie Pertilla high steps into the endzone during the Bandits 38-26 win over KC.
SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KTIV) -
Scott Jensen threw two touchdowns, and Frederick Bruno and Drew Prohaska each rushed for another as the Sioux City Bandits held off Kansas City 38-26 Friday night at the Tyson Events Center.
The Bandits improve to 2-0 in the CPIFL and push their winning streak to 30 games.
Tied at 7 midway through the first quarter, Jensen hit Eddie Pertilla for his sixth touchdown grab of the year to put Sioux City up 14-7.
Darius Davis added a fumble recovery for a score and Max Martin tacked on a field goal near
the end of the second quarter to put SC up 24-7 leading into half.
Leading 38-14 heading into the fourth quarter, the Renegades pulled to within 38-26 on touchdown runs by quarterback David Giles with 2:25 to play.
Much like their victory over Bloomington a week ago, Sioux City ran out the rest of the clock
to secure the win.
The Bandits travel to Lincoln on March 29 to face the Haymakers.
