Punxsutawney Phil's handler says he's to blame for this year's botched forecast


Just about two months ago, the worlds most famous groundhog, Punxsutawney Phil emerged from his burrow and alerted his handler Bill Deely that he didn't see his shadow meaning that spring was close.

The crowd cheered the news and thought of warmer days ahead; only there was a mistake.

"I made the wrong call, I'm sorry for the mistake I made," said Bill Deely, Phil's handler.

Deely's job on Groundhog Day is to talk to Phil about whether or not he saw his shadow.

Apparently, Phil said one thing, but Deely reported another.
