Four Laurens, IA people arrested on drug charges

Four people, from Laurens, Iowa, face drug charges after a joint investigation involving three different agencies.

Laurens police say 24-year old Daryl Dehart, 23-year-old Christen Dooling, and 31-year-old Janette Schmitz had been traveling to different communities to get items to make meth.

Last Friday, police searched two homes, and several vehicles, that they believed were being used to transport the items.

During that time, police found drug paraphernalia and meth-making materials.

Two children belonging to Dehart and Dooling were also removed from the homes.

Dehart, Dooling and Schmitz face several charged including manufacturing meth in the presence of minors, possession, and child endangerment.

A fourth person, 43-year-old Rebecca Wilkinson, also faces charges of possession of meth and drug paraphernalia.
