Sioux Center won the Warrior Relays in Sergeant Bluff on Tuesday with 160 points.
SERGEANT BLUFF, Iowa (KTIV) -
Sioux Center's boys track team won the Warrior Relays in Sergeant Bluff on Tuesday. Eight boys squads battled it out early in the track season.
In the 100 meter dash, Missouri Valley's Barron Norman finishes first with a time of 11 seconds.
In the 4 x 800 meter relay Sioux Center's Josh Olvera anchored the Warriors to victory in 8 minutes and 58 seconds.
In the high jump, Lawton-Bronson's Zach Cassens wins the event, clearing 5-feet 10-inches.
And there was a battle between two Hinton teammates in the shot put. Austin Anfinson chucks it 47-feet 10-inches to finish second. Fellow Blackhawk senior Evan Kroll went two feet farther to win with a throw of 49-feet 4-inches.
Sioux Center wins the Warrior Relays, with 160 points. Hinton was second with 125. Missouri Valley was third, with Sgt. Bluff-Luton and Lawton-Bronson rounding out the top five.
