There are a lot of services available for veterans, but you may be unclear about where to turn.
The Department of Veterans Affairs is holding outreach events on April 5 and 6 to help explain those services to veterans of all ages.
Veterans who are not currently enrolled for VA benefits are encouraged to bring their DD Form 214, "Certificate of Release or Discharge from Active Duty," to the open house.
While the event is in South Sioux City, Nebraska, veterans from all three Siouxland states are encouraged to attend.
It's being held at American Legion/VFW Post 307. That's located at 109 E. 19th Street in South Sioux City, Nebraska.
The open house is Friday, April 5th from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturday, April 6 from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m.
The open house is targeted toward veterans who live in the following counties: Cherokee, Crawford, Ida. Monona, Plymouth, and Woodbury, Iowa; Antelope, Boone, Burt, Colfax, Cuming, Cedar, Dakota, Dodge, Dixon, Knox, Madison, Pierce, Stanton, Thurs ton, Washington, Wayne, Neb.; Clay, Lincoln, Minnie, Turner, Union, and Yankton, S.D.
