Sioux City police say woman is assaulted by her boyfriend

Sioux City police are looking for a man who allegedly assaulted his girlfriend and took off with her purse.

Authorities say the two were arguing around 6:30 p.m. Wednesday in the 1600 block of Nebraska Street.

The woman tells officers her boyfriend assaulted her, took her purse and fled in a car.  The woman hung onto the car and was dragged for about half a block before falling off.

She suffered minor injuries.

No arrests have been made.
