South Dakota man charged with attempted murder


Yankton, South Dakota man is facing a charges after police say he fired a gun at his girlfriend.  Police officers say around 2:30am on April 5th they responded to a report of a shooting at 905 East 15th Street in Yankton.  After an investigation, police say 22-year-old Curtis Wilson of Yankton was arrested and charged with aggravated assault, attempted 2nd degree murder and 2nd degree kidnapping.

Police say Wilson was involved in a domestic assault at his girlfriend's home before she fled to a neighbor's house.  Wilson allegedly followed and fired a gun.  It didn't hit his girlfriend or her neighbor, however the neighbor was taken to the hospital to be treated for minor injuries from flying debris.
