FAA to delay closing of traffic control towers


The Federal Aviation Administration said Friday it will delay the closing of 149 small and regional air traffic control towers.

Tower closures were scheduled to begin April 7th.

That date has been moved to June 15th.

The FAA is closing the federal-contract towers because it is losing $637-million In forced spending cuts.
