"Polka Dots to Pearls" brings moms and daughters together
Some elegant young ladies had a chance to learn some proper etiquette in South Sioux City, Nebraska.
St. Luke's Family Spirit's annual "Polka Dots to Pearls" brought mothers and daughters together to dress up for a fancy tea party at the Marina Inn Ballroom in South Sioux City.
The event kicked off with a presentation by a registered dietitian who taught the importance of healthier food choices.
That was followed by a brunch where the girls learned about dinner etiquette.
A professional trainer demonstrated the art of proper table manners while the guests enjoyed their meal.
"We like to do these events throughout the year, whether it's a full family event or a mother-daughter tea like today. We really just wanna encourage families to make healthy memories together," explained Kristin Koch, Spirit of Women Coordinator for St. Luke's.
The goal of today's event was to promote healthy living for the young ladies and to spend some quality time with mom.
