SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KTIV) -

This storm system started with thunderstorms Monday night and then we saw them redevelop today producing area of hail across the region.

It stayed rain in Sioux City Tuesday, but northern and western Siouxland saw temps below 32 degrees and there are very icy areas in those regions.

We'll see more storms with rain and freezing rain Tuesday night with a mix continuing Wednesday before turning to all snow by Wednesday night.

Snow accumulations through Thursday could reach over 6" in our far western areas with 3-6 inches in central, northern, and western Siouxland, including Sioux City. Southeastern Siouxland will see the least with about 1-3 inches there.
