A former northeast Nebraska bus driver faces up to a year in prison for inappropriately touching a high school student.

65-year-old Steven Sprick, of Hooper, was sentenced in Stanton County Court on charges of third degree sexual assault.

Sheriff Mike Unger says Sprick inappropriately touched a female student from Dodge County who was attending a high school event in rural Stanton County.

Sprick, who was employed as a bus driver in Dodge County, will also be required to register as a sex offender when he is sentenced in June.
