Sioux City developer has new business in the works
SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KTIV) -
A Hard Rock won't be the only new thing in Sioux City. A local developer is pouring more money into Pearl Street.
Rick Bertrand has already done a lot on Pearl. He's the man behind McCarthy & Bailey's Irish Pub, and a number of other businesses.
Now, he's started turning the former Jitters Donuts and Coffee building into a new bar. Bertrand says it'll be more of an outdoor venue, but other than that, he's tightlipped.
"We're kind of keeping the name secret a little bit. We're looking at the middle of May. But it is going to be something, like we're doing down here, that Sioux City doesn't have. It's going to be another unique venue," said Bertrand.
Bertrand says his goal is to turn Pearl Street into an urban entertainment zone, with a big city feel.
