Some Nebraska counties removed from Winter WX Advisory

SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KTIV) -

Winter Weather Advisory for northern and western Siouxland beginning Monday and lasting until 10 p.m.

Osceola, O'Brien and Dickinson counties will expire at 1 a.m.

Showers will become more widespread Monday with even a few isolated thunderstorms in the southern areas.

Colder air will start to filter in Monday afternoon switching the rain over to snow by the late afternoon.

Snow will be likely Monday night where 1-3" could fall in the Sioux City metro area.

Isolated higher amounts are possible in the advisory areas.

Tuesday will be another chilly day with highs in the upper 30's, but warmer weather will be on the way.

Temperatures warm up by next weekend, with readings in the lower to middle 70's next weekend.
