Road crews are hitting the pavement, and taking advantage of the spring weather that's coming are way.
But because of winter lingering into the late April crews have their work cut out for them.
City Manager Paul Eckert says the city is prepared to make up for lost time.
"They will have to more time in, and we will probably be more aggressive and have a few more crews to catch up because ultimately it becomes a safety, not just an inconvenience" said Paul Eckert, Sioux City, City Manager said.
Eckert says if you know of a pothole, it's not best to assume they know it's there.
