Despite the lingering winter weather, a springtime tradition is inching closer. The Farmer's Market will open soon.
Wednesday night, organizers held a meeting to iron out last-minute preparations.
Even though the weather hasn't cooperated, that won't keep vendors away.
While produce is about two to three weeks behind schedule, by using greenhouses, there will still be crops.
"It's not going to be in volumes like what you usually think the first couple of weeks of market," said Audrey Brown, vendor.
New this year? A stand that will help you sharpen your garden tools.
You'll also find live shrimp!
The market opens May 8th and will run Wednesdays and Saturdays from 8:00am to 1:00pm.
You'll find the Farmers Market will be in the Tyson Events Center parking lot on the corner of Pearl and Tri View.
