SPIRIT LAKE, Iowa (KTIV/KUOO) -

The Dickinson County Nature Center and the County Conservation Board have announced plans to put in such a course at Kenue Park between Spirit Lake and Okoboji.

Spokesman Charles Vigdahl says they decided to proceed based on requests from the public.

"We have a professional disk golf designer coming from Minneapolis. His name is Chuck Kennedy. He's designed courses all over the United States and he's designing the one we'll have right over here. Right now what we're doing is we're fundraising, trying to get some money to put in the baskets and get this thing going for this summer," Charles Vigdah said.

Vigdahl says they're selling hole sponsorships and seeking other donations for the project.

To donate to the cause, contact Charles Vigdahl at the Dickinson County Nature Center.
