Sioux City scored just 10 points in the first half and their 14-point rally in the fourth quarter fell short as Omaha beat the Bandits for the second time this season, 38-24 Saturday night at the Tyson Events Center.
The loss drops Sioux City to 4-2 on the season.
After a 57 yard kick-off return to start the game by the Beef's Beau Kidlow, Omaha scored on its first offensive possession of the game with a one yard TD run by RJ Rollins to make it 6-0.
The Bandits answered, and on their second play from scrimmage John Bentley rumbled 38 yards to give Sioux City its only lead of the game, 7-6.
After being shutout in the third quarter and trailing 32-10 heading into the fourth, Sioux City got rushing touchdowns from Scott Jensen and Bentley, but Rollins put the game out of reach with the final score of the game with 2:23 to play.
Beef quarterback James McNear led the way through air with 177 passing yards and three scores. He also ran for 37 yards.
Jensen threw for just 108 yards and was intercepted once.
The Bandits are on the road to face the KC Renegades on May 4.
