The manhunt continues in Sioux City Tuesday morning

Police are looking for 22-year-old Jamal Dean, who they say got out of a his car and shot and wounded a police officer during a routine traffic stop Monday afternoon.

Dean is described as being armed and extremely dangerous, obviously.

If you have any information on his whereabouts, you are urged to call 911 immediately.

The shooting happened in an alley between West 3rd and West 4th Streets just west of Hamilton Boulevard.

The officer who was shot was listed in stable condition with injuries described as non life-threatening.

His name is not yet being released.

One person is dead after a crash involving a minivan, a semi and a dump truck on Highway 20 near Jackson, Nebraska Monday morning

Dakota County deputies say the van was passing the semi when it sideswiped it and veered into the oncoming dump truck, colliding with it head-on.

The driver of the van died.

That person's name has not been released.

Northwestern College is nearing completion of a major building project

A new $14-million learning commons is taking shape on the Orange City, Iowa campus.

It will include a library, tutoring center, rooms for academic support and a cafe.

The learning commons is being funded by private donations and alumni.

It's expected to open in the fall.

Wells Enterprises is making wishes come true

The Le Mars, Iowa-based maker of Blue Bunny Ice Cream is teaming up with the Make-A-Wish Foundation to grant 100 wishes to sick children across the country.

It's part of the company's celebration of its 100th year in business.

They kicked it off on the Today show Monday.

Wish-granting events will take place nationwide in the weeks and months ahead.
