PIERCE, NE (KTIV) -

A Creighton, Nebraska woman accused of stealing almost $50,000 from the city of Plainview is set to go to trial in June.

44-year-old Carolyn Conner has pleaded not guilty to a theft charge.

She was arrested in December following an investigation of almost two years.

Court records say Conner started working for the city of Plainview in June 2008 and left in March 2010.

The records say discrepancies were found in the financial records of transfer station funds and utility deposits.
