Woodbury County Supervisors said goodbye to Rural Economic Development Director Rob Marqusee today.
His seat is set to be vacant as of May first.
Marqusee held the position for the last eight years, and cites his greatest accomplishments as his organic program and Liberty Park development involving CF industries.
District supervisors Jaclyn Smith and George Boykin had positive words about Marqusee though admitted his ideas weren't always well accept.
A fact that even he didn't deny.
"I think that that is always true when you are making progress. You are always going to have those kind of kickbacks. In fact if you don't have that opposition you know that you are doing something wrong," said Marqusee.
Auditor Patrick Gill says the position is still open, and it hasn't been decided whether it will be filled.
