Father pleads guilty to helping son hide from authorities


A South Sioux City, Nebraska man pleads guilty after police say he allowed his son, who recently escaped from prison. to stay at his home.

Last month, police say 30-year old Travis Thorngren went missing from the minimum security unit at the South Dakota State Penitentiary in Sioux Falls. A few days later, police found him in South Sioux City.

His father, 54-year-old Robert Thorngren was arrested for being an accessory to a felony. He admitted to police he let Travis stay at his home. Robert will be sentenced May 29th.
