The walls of the new Bishop Heelan High School are now visible

Posted:

Crews are working to put up the concrete block walls for "phase one", of the $15-million Bishop Heelan High School Fine Arts wing, which is being built at 11th and Grandview.

"Phase one" will house a 600 seat auditorium, art, vocal, and band classrooms, a chapel and more.

It'll be ready for students in the 2014 school year.

"Phase two" will hold classrooms and a gym.

That will cost about $10-million.

Fundraising for that phase hasn't started yet.
