The Sioux County Sheriff's department is looking for information on a hit and run

HOSPERS, Iowa (KTIV) -

The Sioux County Sheriff's officials are investigating a hit and run car accident that happened on Locust Street in Hospers, Iowa.

Officials say sometime between Saturday and Monday, a vehicle drove onto the Hospers Farmers Cooperative property, hit a grain auger, and then left.

Deputies say after investigating, the driver was in a 1997 to 2003 Chevrolet Malibu, possibly white in color.

They say the car could have damage on the passenger side headlamp and fender.

The auger has $1,000 in damages.
