Authorities say a car and school bus collide in Rolfe, Iowa

ROLFE, Iowa (KTIV) -

Authorities say a driver rear-ended a school bus in Rolfe, Iowa around 7:30 Tuesday morning.

The Pocahontas County Sheriff's department says the bus was stopped at the railroad tracks on Highway 15 and Des Moines Avenue.

They say 19 year-old John Simpson, of Rolfe, hit the back end of the bus.

Authorities say the driver of the bus, Dean Williams, of Pocahontas, and his 15 passengers, were not hurt.

Simpson and a juvenile passenger were taken to the Pocahontas hospital.

Their conditions are not being released.

Simpson was cited for failure to stop in an assured clear distance.
