The Argosy Casino is hoping the Iowa Racing and Gaming Commission will reconsider its decision to grant the Woodbury County gaming License to Sioux City Entertainment.
In a statement, this afternoon, Argosy officials say they sent a letter to the IRGC outlining why their decision violates Iowa law and the Argosy's due process rights.
The letter says the IRGC allowed SCE to "substantially change" the ownership structure and the hotel plan in the application more than two months after the due date. The reconsideration letter also says IRGC officials ignored improper conduct by the casino proposals non-profit organization Missouri River Historical Development.
