Brother of accused police shooter pleads "not guilty" to robbery charges

SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KTIV) -

In court Wednesday afternoon, Jamal Dean's brother, Levon.

He was arraigned in Woodbury County for a crime police say he committed with his brother.

"How then do you plead to each of these five counts, Mr. Dean," said Hon. Duane Hoffmeyer, 3rd District Chief Judge.

"Not guilty," said Levon Dean, Jamal Dean's Brother.

Levon Dean faces charges of robbery, burglary and theft.

Police arrested Levon Dean during the search for his brother.

Authorities say the week before, Levon and Jamal Dean beat and robbed a man at a home in the Leeds neighborhood at gun point.

Levon Dean will stand trial on June 25th.
