Man charged with shooting Plymouth County, IA family's pet pig

A Kingsley, Iowa man is charged with killing a family's pet pig.

27-year-old Jordan Plendl turned himself in to Plymouth County authorities.

He's charged with one count of reckless use of a firearm, and one count of livestock abuse. Both are misdemeanors.

Authorities say on April 23rd, Plendl shot and killed the pig, owned by Jeramy Lund of Kingsley, with a high powered rifle. Plendl posted bond and was released.
