Iowa authorities are still searching for a man who tried to lure a little girl into his truck
MAPLETON, Iowa (KTIV) -
As Iowa authorities continue to search for a man who tried to lure a girl into his pickup truck in Mapleton this week, they're looking into a similar incident that happened one night earlier near Blair, Nebraska.
The Monona County Sheriff's Office says the girl was approached Tuesday evening at the city park in Mapleton.
The girl told authorities it was a dirty, light blue pickup and the man was about 30-years-old, white, with dark hair, a pony tail and goatee.
On Monday an 11-year-old girl was approached by a man with a similarly described truck at the Lakeland community south of Blair, Nebraska.
She ran home and wasn't harmed.
Nebraska and Iowa authorities are not sure whether the incidents are connected, but they're sharing information.
