Five year sentence for Rockford man convicted of manslaughter

A Rockford man is sentenced, for killing another man in January of 2011.

Raymond Gitchel was found guilty of involuntary manslaughter for the death of Terry Johnson.  Johnson was found stabbed to death outside his home on 4th Street in Rockford.  Gitchel was charged with first degree murder, but a jury said it was involuntary manslaughter.

Gitchel was sentenced to 5 years in prison, but he gets credit for the roughly year and a half he's already been behind bars.
