Williams Baptist (41-6) advances to the 2:30 p.m. game on Tuesday, May 14 facing the winner of Rogers State (Okla.)/Central Methodist (Mo.).
Morningside (31-15) moves to the elimination bracket and will face the loser of Rogers State/Central Methodist at Noon on Tuesday, May 14.
The Eagles scored in every inning, getting five, three, one, seven and one run over the first five frames. Morningside was held to three hits and committed two errors. Kati Steffen and Shelby Feldt picked up the Mustangs' two RBI's.
Jordan Johnson pitched two innings for Morningside, giving up nine hits and seven earned runs.
