Kurt Warner helps rebuild homes in Cedar Rapids

Former professional football player Kurt Warner was back in Cedar Rapids Wednesday. He was helping Habitat for Humanity rebuild homes on the city's flood damaged northwest side.

The Kurt Warner First Things First Foundation gives grants to Habitat's Youth United program. Wednesday volunteers raised walls on a new home and dedicated a finished home.

"So much of where we're at here in Cedar Rapids and this area and this neighborhood and these people shaped who I was," said Warner. "One of the things that was instilled in me very early was the idea of giving back."

Warner grew up in the Cedar Rapids area. He and his wife have helped Habitat build homes in the city in the past.
