Fresh, locally-made goods are making their way back to Sioux City.
The farmers market in Sioux City cut the ribbon Wednesday marking the start of the season.
The market plans to have over 40 vendors available during the peak season, which is June and July.
You will be able to find more than just produce this year.
Vendors will also bring fresh meats, baked goods and even locally farmed shrimp to the table throughout the summer.
"Looking into the future, it should be really good. We should be able to fill up this entire parking lot with vendors during the prime of the season," said Brittany Hoffman, Farmers Market manager.
The market will be open Wednesdays and Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. from now through October 26th.
If you've driven down Virginia Street in downtown Sioux City, you may have seen new apartment buildings.
