UPDATE: An accident takes out a power pole, flips a car but surprisingly leaves no one injured

SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KTIV) -

Around 7:30 Friday morning, the van's driver says he hit a curb near Floyd Boulevard and Adel street.

He says then the curb pulled him up and into the a light pole.

The van rolled and the driver escape through a window.

Mid-American officials quickly disabled power to the pole saying no power in the area should be effected.

Police are investigating the accident.

The driver said no one else was involved and he is okay.
