Health officials: Norovirus sickened students, staff at Sioux City school

Posted:

Norovirus gets the blame for making dozens of students, and a handful of staff members sick at a Sioux City elementary school, last week.

In all, 47 students and three staff members fell ill at Bryant Elementary.

All reported vomiting and diarrhea. Workers at the Siouxland District Health Department say those symptoms are consistent with norovirus, which was detected in lab tests provided by some of the sick students, and staff.
