Sioux City teen sentenced in 2012 fatal SUV crash

SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KTIV) -

A judge has sentenced a Sioux City man to 25-years in prison for his role in a fatal crash near Sioux City.

Court documents say 19-year-old Oscar Ramirez pleaded guilty to a charge of vehicular homicide.

In the early morning hours of January 30th, 2012, Ramirez was driving an SUV on Carroll Avenue when it went into a ditch and rolled several times. The force of the crash threw 18-year-old Nino Segura out of the SUV.

Segura died at the scene.
