President expected to defend use of drones in major counter-terrorism speech

Obama is expected deliver a major counter-terrorism program Thursday in a speech at the National Defense University in Washington, D.C.

The speech comes a day after the Obama administration publicly acknowledged for the first time that U.S. drone strikes have killed four American citizens since 2009, including the previously undisclosed death of a North Carolina resident who left the United States for Pakistan and was later indicted on federal terrorism charges.
