DUNKERTON (KWWL) -

Dunkerton residents may have started Thursday morning off by hearing a knock at their door.

The Black Hawk County Sheriff's Office says authorities are going door to door in the downtown area warning residents of the high water after waves of wet weather soaked eastern Iowa.

Officials said there is no mandatory evacuation underway, but urge residents to stay safe and take appropriate action.
