The Black Hawk County Emergency Management is strongly encouraging residents of Black Hawk County affected by flash flooding this week to report damage to United Way by calling 211.

You can call 211 from any home phone or call 1-866-469-2211 from a cell phone or business phone from 8 a.m. - 8 p.m.  This number is only to report damage, not receive assistance.  This information will be used to assess damage to report to the State.

Clean-up kits are available at the American Red Cross office at 2530 University Avenue in Waterloo from 8 a.m. – 8 p.m.

Sandbags are available at 1601 Black Hawk Street in Waterloo.
In Cedar Falls, empty sandbags are available at the Recycling Transfer Station on State Street.
