Siouxland man pleads not guilty to rape & incest charges
A Burbank, South Dakota man says he's not guilty of 13 charges against him, the worst of which are rape and incest.
Authorities say between 2007 and 2010 Joseph Night raped two children under the age of 13. In addition to four counts of rape, he's also charged with sexual exploitation of a minor and sexual contact with a child.
The Sheriff's Department was called to 32023 White Street in Burbank last month, for a domestic dispute. That's when authorities say they seized Night's computer and found evidence of child pornography.
Authorities say the victims were male family members. Night, who posted bond, was ordered to vacate the house and no have any contact with the children.
He had no comment on the allegations after his arraignment Tuesday.
Night faces a maximum penalty of life in prison. His trial is set for September 23rd in Vermillion, South Dakota.
