Dubuque Street in Iowa City reopened to traffic Sunday after being closed due to flooding.
IOWA CITY (KWWL) -
Dubuque Street in Iowa City is open again.
The street had been closed for several weeks between Park and Foster roads due to flooding. However, only one lane of traffic in each direction is open.
Despite the road being open, the westbound off-ramp from Interstate 380 to Dubuque Street remains closed due to a construction project being done by the Iowa Department of Transportation. The eastbound on-ramp is now open.
Officials in Iowa City warn that standing water on Dubuque Street is still a possibility due to high river levels, which decrease the capacity of storm sewers.
