DUBUQUE (KWWL) -

A Dubuque man that was already in jail for a rioting charge is now facing new charges after an investigation into a shooting last week.

Michael C. Lewis, 25, was arrested last week after an investigation into a disturbance that took place on June 10 in the area of 14th and Iowa streets.

Police say that Lewis was then involved in an incident on June 12 in the area of West 15th and Iowa streets in which shots were fired.

In that incident, police say bullet holes were found in a vehicle and the Operation New View building.

After interviewing several witnesses, Lewis was charged with one count of going armed with intent and two counts of terrorism.

If convicted, Lewis faces up to 55 years in prison and a fine of up to $7,500.
